Real Zaragoza confirms Vadillo injury

Real Zaragoza coach Ibai Gómez had anticipated it, and the club has now confirmed it: Iker Vadillo is injured. A brief medical report states that the player has suffered a muscle injury and, initially, will be unavailable for at least this week. The information provided does not allow an estimated recovery time to be established.

“After finishing last Saturday’s training session with some discomfort, player Iker Vadillo underwent medical tests, which determined that he has suffered a muscle injury to his left leg,” reads the statement on Real Zaragoza’s website.

His progress will determine when he is available to gradually rejoin the group. If the muscle injury is minor, the Real Zaragoza player could be sidelined for a few days. However, if it is a more serious problem, the absence could extend to months. For now, we will have to wait.

WESTERVELD

The other player who missed Real Zaragoza’s match against Teruel was Sem Westerveld. Regarding the goalkeeper, the coach ventured to suggest that he was probably suffering from only minor discomfort. In that same press conference, he announced that Vadillo would be out for “another week or so.”

As a result, the match Vadillo will almost certainly miss is this weekend’s game against Atlético Madrileño. By then, having Sem Westerveld available would be good news.
