With 463 minutes in six matches, the Real Zaragoza attacker leads the appearances ranking. He averages almost 80 minutes in the games the white-and-blue side has played since the start of the season. Just behind him is Westerveld, the starting goalkeeper, although his absence against the team from Teruel leaves him with 450 minutes played.
Lucas Terrer is next on 435 minutes, followed by Rubén Iranzo, who has reached 430. Diego González (420) and Sangalli (404) have also joined the 400-minute club. These are the players most used by Ibai, the ones who, for now, are preferred when it comes to playing for Real Zaragoza.
THE 300 CLUB
Below them are the players in the 300-minute range. Raúl Pereira leads this group with 361 minutes, ahead of Joaquín Delgado (348) and Peter Ademo (323). Vadillo, who has already reached 281 despite his injury, and Pau Sans, on 258, would complete Ibai Gómez’s regular Real Zaragoza lineup.
The players who have made the most of their minutes are Edu Espiau and Óscar Ureña, in that order. The striker has scored two goals in just over 100 minutes. He therefore averages one goal every 50 minutes. Meanwhile, the Dominican attacker has scored three in 244 minutes.
Several other players are fighting to earn a place in the squad. They cannot all get in. Pinilla barely played in the last match, while Espiau, mentioned above, is among those who have featured the least. In addition, academy players Monzón and Tobajas are knocking on the door, while Tachi and Barrachina are not expected to play extensively.
THE LONG SEASON
These statistics come after matchday 6 of the championship. There are 32 more to go, meaning Real Zaragoza will likely need many players. That will be the challenge for the substitutes.
