“I have a lot of confidence in the team. Every weekend, we accept the role of favorites, knowing that this is a high-level match with enormous competitiveness. We are facing a great team, with a large fan base and a great coach,” Ibai said of Real Zaragoza’s next opponent.
In these circumstances, “everything becomes more even.” “We are aware that this is a match between two clubs competing for the same objective. We naturally accept being favorites while also recognizing that there is a great deal of equality,” he said about the match between Real Zaragoza and Real Murcia.
MORE IMPORTANT THAN DECISIVE
The Blanquillo coach acknowledged the importance of the match while stressing that it is not yet decisive. “It means that, on matchday nine, you have three more points,” the coach summed up.
But at this stage, even though Real Zaragoza and Real Murcia are competing for the provisional lead, it is still early and “we must not look beyond that.” “It is an important match, but I don’t think it will be decisive. We go in with the same mindset as always. We will go to any ground to collect all three points. The team makes that clear.”
IMPORTANT TEAMS
Real Zaragoza and Real Murcia face each other in one of the most interesting clashes of the season, despite the clear differences and varying levels of prestige between them. “Hopefully, they will be as high up as possible. The clubs belong to the fans and have a large supporter base. Being able to play in a setting like this appeals to me; in the broader context, it is the most special match,” Ibai Gómez concluded.
