"In the 90+12th minute, after the visiting team scored, one of the fences where around 300 away fans were standing broke, causing approximately 20 supporters to enter the surrounding area and the pitch. The fans returned to their seats on their own immediately. After that, the stadium delegate was instructed to announce over the public address system that there should be no pitch invasion, and no further incident occurred until the match ended," the referee's report stated. However, there were no serious incidents beyond the destruction of the fence, and the fans themselves returned to their places without causing any problems.

The Madrid club cited these circumstances in an effort to avoid a sanction, but the Competition Judge rejected its arguments, although it had requested that "the absence of negligent or culpable conduct attributable to the club be declared and that the proceedings be dismissed or any potential charge be set aside. Alternatively, it requests that the circumstances described be taken into account as mitigating factors when assessing and grading liability, with the minimum sanction imposed and no additional measures".

"The fact is that the overall assessment of the evidence submitted does not establish the grounds for exemption invoked by the respondent. Consequently, the breaking of the barrier and spectators' access before the match had ended constituted a disturbance of order and created a risk for those present. Nevertheless, the intrusion involved a limited group, their stay was brief and they returned immediately, with no injuries, assaults, recurrence or suspension of the match resulting from these events," the report concluded, explaining the reasons for the sanction.
