Vox calls for Ceuta not to be forgotten until “the last of the invaders leaves the city”

Recent news about housing protests and the call for elections has shifted attention away from the situation in Ceuta. Vox Aragón disagrees, and its spokesperson in the regional parliament, Santiago Morón, has said they will continue speaking about it until “Ceuta is liberated, the last of the invaders leaves the city and normality is restored.”

Morón has called on Sánchez’s “pro-Moroccan government” not to turn the city into a huge Temporary Immigrant Reception Center, as Ceuta residents are demanding, accusing the central government of doing nothing to resolve the situation and of continuing “to demand no accountability from Morocco”.

“We cannot forget that Morocco has declared hybrid war on us, using the civilian population to seize a Spanish city such as Zaragoza, Huesca or Teruel,” Vox’s spokesperson said. In response to this aggression, the party has submitted a new non-legislative proposal to the regional parliament calling on the central government to provide greater support for the National Police, Civil Guard and Army personnel deployed in the autonomous cities.

They are calling for security in Ceuta and Melilla to be strengthened with more resources and greater coordination. In this regard, he called for police officers, Civil Guard personnel and military members deployed there to be recognized as working in a “high-risk profession” and to be provided with decent accommodation and living conditions, following complaints from JUPOL and CEP: “It is shameful to demand that they protect our borders and then abandon them in accommodation with filthy mattresses full of bedbugs.”
