Now official in the BOE: Noelia Herrero is Aragón’s new government delegate

The appointment became official this Wednesday, October 21, with its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE), after being approved by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday. The same gazette records Beltrán’s dismissal; he had held the post since June 2023.

Beltrán’s departure follows his inclusion on the Socialist electoral lists. On October 15, the Zaragoza branch of the PSOE approved his candidacy as the party’s lead candidate for Congress in the province, a decision that means he is leaving the Government Delegation to focus on the election campaign.

FROM ZARAGOZA’S SUBDELEGATION TO THE GOVERNMENT DELEGATION IN ARAGÓN

Noelia Herrero, born in Teruel in 1981, had served as the government’s subdelegate in Zaragoza since January 10, 2024. Her promotion makes her the central government’s highest-ranking representative in Aragón and leaves vacant the position she had held in Zaragoza province.

The new delegate holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Zaragoza, is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and holds a doctorate in Health Sciences, Physical Activity and Sport from UCAM. She has also trained in accounting and auditing for public administrations and holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Management.

Before joining the Government Subdelegation, Herrero was deputy medical director of the Royo Villanova University Hospital in Zaragoza. Her professional career also includes positions such as acting director of the Childcare Center and Services inspector at the Department of Finance and Public Administration of the Government of Aragón.
