“What more has to happen for us to realize that the tyrant in Moncloa will try anything to remain in power?” said the regional government’s vice president during his appearance in front of the Government Delegation. He predicted that Spain’s president would “turn to” the ombudsman or the Constitutional Court to “carry out that electoral fraud”, after the Supreme Court suspended the law.
Nolasco sought to emphasize the seriousness of the matter: “It has been shown that the CERA vote abroad has grown and that this was clearly driven by an interest in boycotting or tampering with the elections.” In this regard, he explained that the number of voters abroad had increased by 16% in the province of Teruel and by 19% in Huesca. Together, the two provinces have around 16,000 newly registered voters abroad who are entitled to vote.
VOX LISTS FOR THE CONGRESS AND THE SENATE
In response to questions from the media, Nolasco left it to Vox’s national leadership to announce the party’s lists in Aragon’s three constituencies and the decision to run jointly with the People’s Party for the Senate, as the PSOE and Frente Amplio have agreed to do. “I believe these announcements should be made in a coordinated and general manner,” he said.
Regarding a possible alliance with the People’s Party, he added that “what is clear is that we have to stop a left that is the most radical we have endured in recent years, and I believe that we therefore have to act accordingly”. However, he said Vox was running to “win the elections” and implement 100% of its program because it would not be anyone’s “sweeper car”.
Finally, the vice president of the Government of Aragon denied that the processing of the regional budgets for 2027 had been halted by the calling of a general election. Instead, he said work was “progressing intensively these days”. He did not venture to give a date for their presentation but believed it would happen “shortly”.
