Marina Rodríguez to lead CHA-Frente Amplio list for Congress in Zaragoza on 29N

Chunta Aragonesista has chosen Marina Rodríguez, who received 73% of the support, to lead the CHA-Frente Amplio Aragón candidacy for the Congress of Deputies in Zaragoza in the general election on November 29. The decision was made this Friday at a meeting of the National Committee, the party’s highest body between assemblies. The party aims to retain the seat won by Jorge Pueyo in the last election as part of Sumar.

Rodríguez is an activist for LGBT rights, feminism and youth participation. She currently serves as CHA’s secretary for Feminism and Labor and is the national coordinator of Choventut Aragonesista. The candidate said she is entering this new stage “with tremendous enthusiasm and pride, with the aim of bringing Aragón’s voice to Madrid.”

The candidate has said she intends to represent Aragón against those who, in her view, relegate the region. In this regard, she has pledged to “fight those who regard us as a territory of neglect and sacrifice, who speculate with our homes, our mountains and our land, privatize our healthcare and education, build cities without trees and with souls made of concrete, and want our villages to remain empty.”
