The match started badly for the Zaragoza side, which saw its deficit reach two goals within minutes. Adrián Ortego pulled one back with a superb free-kick, but the Galician side scored a third in the next move. However, in the closing stages of the first half, Samu Freire and Ortego drew level to send the teams into the break at 3-3.
There were fewer goals after the interval, but no less tension. Neither side could break the game open, and every attack began to carry greater weight. In the 28th minute, Xuxu cleared an effort off the line that appeared destined to become O Parrulo's fourth. The relief was short-lived, as David Novoa then reappeared and made it 3-4 with a powerful shot.
Jorge Palos' side searched for an equaliser and even brought on a fifth outfield player. The red-and-black side tried every possible way to score, but the Aragonese team could not claim its first point in a match in which it came close to completing an epic comeback after trailing by two goals.
