The Marea Roja's expedition and unwavering support: "It's a source of pride because fans feel they're building a club"

The Marea Roja is synonymous with honor in Spain and Europe for its dedication to Casademont Zaragoza and unwavering support. Rodrigo, Carmen and Nines—a couple and one of their mothers—are part of the group of fans who traveled to Galicia on the charter flight arranged by the Aragonese club.

"We have traveled several times. And we believe it is a really great experience because fans see that you are building a club, and that is very important. It should be the other way around, with other clubs joining in this kind of envy. It is a source of pride, but it should be the norm rather than the exception. The first time we went to Prague, the entire fan base was amazed to see so many people because, beyond the marching band, there was not much else," they say about how Zaragoza supporters are viewed from outside the city and what it means to be part of them.

Although they have been present to support the team on the vast majority of trips, they regret not having been able to travel to Lugo last season. This is already their third trip to Galicia with Casademont. "We were there against Obradoiro and previously against Breogán. We have been on practically every trip the club has organized and, unless we are unable to, we usually come. In the survey the club conducted, we suggested organizing more of them because people get fully behind the team, and it always helps build the club. It is very nice to see Marea Roja supporters at every game," they add.

CONTROLLED OPTIMISM

For this weekend's games, they are confident of victory in both. Against Coruña, the three expect that "it will be a very difficult game, but it is very possible to get through it," while against Celta, "we think it could be a trap game, as Gernika was, but we will end up winning it."

As for their hopes for the season, there are "many positive things" with the men's team, but they prefer to keep their feet on the ground and not get carried away too soon. "We can see that a lot has changed, especially with a leader like Guillem Vives. We see that fighting spirit, which is the minimum we ask for and which had been missing lately. I don't want to get too excited about the idea of reaching the top eight, but I think we should at least finish in mid-table, and if a place in the Copa or the playoffs comes, it will be welcome," they say.

With the women's team, they believe that finishing in the Liga's top three would be normal, given the strength Azul Marino has shown at the start of the season. "But competing for a place among the top three is certainly possible, and in the playoffs everything will depend on how you reach the end of the season. In our case, we will have to see how Mariona's departure affects the team, which we understand and support, as well as how the club handles it," they say.

As for the Copa de la Reina, they believe everything will depend on how the team arrives and the draw, while in the EuroLeague, "it is clear that we will fight as we always have, but returning to a Final Six will be difficult."
