Basket Zaragoza 2002 S.A.D., better known as Casademont Zaragoza, has officially announced NH Capital’s entry into its ownership. It’s official: NH Capital acquires 30% stake in Basket Zaragoza

The transaction has been completed through a share sale, a capital increase and the contribution of Zaragoza CFF, following the roadmap established a few months ago. With NH Capital’s arrival, Basket Zaragoza is entering a new phase aimed at consolidating the club’s future, strengthening its structure and driving its sporting, social, institutional and business growth, with a vision also focused on strengthening women’s sports in Aragon.

Despite the arrival of the new company, Basket Zaragoza is retaining its identity, its roots in Zaragoza and Aragon, and its commitment to responsible and sustainable management. All shareholders remain involved in the project after selling part of their stakes, while Reynaldo Benito will continue to hold the majority shareholding and remain in charge of the club’s presidency, management and strategic vision.

Zaragoza CFF, meanwhile, will retain its football identity and its own sporting project. Basketball and football will therefore continue to be managed separately from an operational standpoint, as NH Capital will retain control of the football project and continue to lead Zaragoza CFF’s strategic vision and development. The arrival of the new strategic partner thus reinforces Basket Zaragoza’s determination to continue growing from a position of stability, adding new capabilities and giving fresh impetus to a project that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this season.

STATEMENTS FOLLOWING THE AGREEMENT

"NH Capital’s arrival allows us to embark on a new phase with excitement, responsibility and ambition. Basket Zaragoza is retaining its roots, identity and commitment to Zaragoza and Aragon, while gaining new support to continue growing and face future challenges with greater strength," said Basket Zaragoza president Reynaldo Benito, who also thanked NH Capital for "its confidence in the project and its tremendous belief in the potential of this region.”

For his part, NH Capital founder Nicolas Hien stressed that "this step reinforces our long-term commitment to Zaragoza, Aragon and the growth of women’s sports." "We want to build a platform from Zaragoza with local roots, a professional structure and international ambition, while creating a bridge between Aragon and Quebec. We believe both regions can learn a great deal from each other in sport, business and the way communities come together around women’s sports," he explained.
