Mariona Ortiz tras confirmarse su salida: "La vida me ha recordado que no siempre va de lo que una tiene planeado"

It is difficult to find the right words to explain a farewell. Even so, although Mariona Ortiz will not leave Casademont Zaragoza until the end of the year, the captain and leading figure of the women's team wanted to address the fans and the red-and-black club after her departure was announced.
Mariona Ortiz tras confirmarse su salida: "La vida me ha recordado que no siempre va de lo que una tiene planeado"

"Hello, Red Tide: First of all, I am truly sorry for the way you found out. It was not the way it had been planned, nor the way I would have liked it to happen, and much less the way you deserved," began the Catalan point guard, who will leave the Aragonese club at the end of the year to join the emerging Project B project.

"But without a doubt, over these past few months, life has reminded me that it is not always about what you have planned. I do not think this is the time to say goodbye, but I would like to remember what truly matters: the TEAM," said Mariona, who since arriving in 2022 has consistently reinforced the idea that, to go far, the team must come before individual talent.

Thus, the Catalan point guard will remain part of an Aragonese team until December as it embarks on a new adventure in both the Liga Endesa and the EuroLeague in the coming days. "As for me, until the very last day I will remain true to myself and do what I have always done since I arrived here: give everything for and to this club, this team and you," Mariona concluded. As her definitive departure draws closer, she will surely be able to receive a farewell worthy of her stature.
