"I am very grateful to the fans for the ovation they gave me during the game. It was recognition for the work, and it is the minimum standard I set for myself when I arrived here. I cannot let a game pass without giving everything on the court. It was very special because my family was in the stands and it was the last day of the Pilar festivities," the Aragonese big man said in a video published by the club.
The power forward highlighted that the Red Tide "has been with us from the very first day, even though it was not easy." For that reason, he promised that "we are going to fight every day to get them to come to the arena because we have to turn the Felipe into a fortress."
HIS STEP FORWARD
With the roster completely rebuilt, Jaime is one of the few players who remained from last season, and this is his third season since returning to the Aragonese capital. "The club asked me to take that step forward and I have tried to do so. I think Guillem (Vives) is helping me a lot in that regard and in the locker room," he said about his increased importance within the roster.
The big man said he has no problem "working for ten, if necessary" to help the team because he is fully aware that "this is a very important season for me." During the summer, he never stopped working with the Aragonese team's fitness coaches and assistant coaches to arrive at the season in the best possible shape, and he does not mind making sacrifices or doing the dirty work because "in Zaragoza we are very stubborn" during one of the most important seasons of his career.
