The Teruel side is the only club in the entire Primera Federación still unable to score a goal. Ourense, the team that shared this dubious distinction, scored in its defeat to Unionistas de Salamanca in the latest round and has left the Bajo Aragón side alone on this journey through the desert, where the only thing wet is Kiko Ramírez's gunpowder.
Defensively, they have not been especially fragile, although they have not been a wall either. They have conceded seven goals, which is not a particularly negative figure, making them the best team in this regard among those in the relegation zone. In addition, Real Murcia scored four of those goals in their match at the Enrique Roca, meaning the statistic is inflated by that game.
THE LACK OF ATTACKING CHANCE CREATION
Across the four rounds played, Teruel have managed just 33 shots, a very low figure. However, given Kiko Ramírez's direct style of play, such a low number of attempts compared with their opponents is not particularly surprising. What is alarming, though, is the number of shots on target, with just seven efforts between the posts in four matches. In other words, a tiny 21.21% of Teruel's shots have been on target.
The lack of firepower is more than evident, as in three of their four matches they have found the opposing goal with just two attempts. Against Jaén, it was even worse, as they managed only one shot on target. It is striking that they had just one effort on goal against the Andalusian side, considering it was the match in which they attempted the most shots, with 10 in total.

In this situation, it is very difficult not only to win but even to be merely competitive in a division that places such a premium on being effective in both boxes, especially for teams like Teruel, who are not blessed with either quality or squad depth. Proof of this is that they have only one striker in the squad, Panagiotis Moraitis, while Sergio Moreno can also play in that role, although he is more of a winger.
Kiko Ramírez's side cannot afford to continue misfiring in front of the opposing goal, and their next obstacle will be Huesca in the first Aragonese derby of the season in the Primera RFEF, at Pinilla.
