Zaragoza Seeks Its Next Music Stars: How to Vote in Popyrock 2026

Music fans have until next October 26 to vote for their favorite act through the website www.popyrock.es. The act that receives the most support will earn a direct place in the semifinals. To take part in the vote, users must identify themselves with their DNI on the competition website, as each person may cast only one vote.

TWELVE BANDS AND SOLO ARTISTS WILL COMPETE IN THE SEMIFINALS

Popyrock 2026 will feature 12 semifinalist acts once the public vote concludes. Eleven will be selected from among the candidates rated highest by the selection jury, while the final place will go to the band or solo artist that receives the most public votes.

The semifinals will take place on November 6, 7, 13 and 14 at El Túnel, with three acts performing at each session. The jury will select the three acts that reach the grand final, scheduled for November 28 at the same venue. The final decision will be made by a different jury from the one responsible for judging the semifinals.

DIREI AND MARIANO CASANOVA TO SHARE THE STAGE IN A SPECIAL CONCERT

One of the main new features of this edition will arrive on November 27 with a mirror concert featuring Direi, winners of Popyrock 2025, and Mariano Casanova, from Distrito 14. El Túnel will host this special performance, replacing the usual opening-act and headline format with a proposal in which both acts will share the spotlight.

The musicians will perform each other's songs and end the show together on stage, with a joint song or a mashup of some of their best-known tracks. The initiative aims to promote collaboration between emerging artists and established musicians, while also providing young talent with new opportunities for exposure and growth.

POPYROCK 2026 WILL DISTRIBUTE 9,400 EUROS IN PRIZE MONEY

The competition will distribute 9,400 euros in prize money, as well as offering training and promotional tools to help participants develop their musical projects. The first prize is worth 3,500 euros and includes the recording of three tracks in a professional studio and specialized training sessions. The runner-up will receive 2,500 euros and be able to record one track, while the third prize will be worth 2,000 euros.

The contest will also present four special awards: best vocalist (300 euros), best instrumentalist (300 euros), best young act (500 euros) and "Music at El Túnel" (300 euros). In addition, the 12 acts that reach the semifinals will be able to take part in training sessions and promotional activities on social media to increase the reach of their music and support the development of their careers.
