The Italian-Argentine soprano Haydée Dabusti, who will travel specially to Spain for the occasion, and tenor Ignacio Prieto will perform several pieces accompanied on piano by Vela herself. The program includes numbers such as "Tacea la notte placida," "Deserto sulla terra," "Tu vedrai che amore in terra" and "Miserere d’un alma," allowing the audience to explore Verdi’s vision of the palace recreated in Il trovatore.
The presentation will also feature Sergio Castillo, head of the Management Service of the Aljafería Palace, and Luis Miguel Escolano, translator of the Italian texts. Cadena SER journalist David Marqueta will host the event, which will offer free admission until capacity is reached.
A SOPRANO TRAVELING TO ZARAGOZA ESPECIALLY FOR THE OCCASION
Vela highlights the presence of Haydée Dabusti, a singer she describes as an artist with tremendous vocal power and whom some have called the "Maria Callas of Argentina." The soprano, who lives between Argentina and Italy, has managed to adjust her schedule to travel to Spain and take part in this musical event. In this regard, the author acknowledges that the recital date was determined by the performer’s availability, considering her participation one of the event’s main attractions.
The event will offer an opportunity to discover the researcher’s new work in a setting linked to the imagery explored in the book and to hear some of the best-known pages of "Il trovatore" performed live. It is a proposal that brings together opera, research and heritage in one of Zaragoza’s most emblematic spaces.
