And it is precisely the 23 processional images that make up the exhibition that will be carried through the streets of Zaragoza this Saturday from 6:30 p.m. during the Gathering’s extraordinary procession. The Kiss of Judas, Jesus the Nazarene, Our Lady of Sorrows and the Christ of the Bed, among others, will allow visitors to follow the main episodes of the Passion both in the streets and inside the cathedral, from Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem to the Resurrection.
Once the procession has taken place, these 23 images will return to La Seo, although visitors will be able to admire them in a different way, as some will be removed from their floats. For example, the Last Supper will be installed in one of the cathedral’s chapels and spaces "to create an intimate and beautiful place for reflection." The exhibition can be visited until November 21 and, in addition to the processional floats, includes other objects of great heritage value.
The exhibition also brings together sculptural works dating from the 15th century to the present day, including the Last Supper, the Christ of Piety and the Skeleton of the Triumph of Life over Death. They are joined by gold and silversmithing works, historical documents and items related to the Sieges of Zaragoza.
Among the most curious objects is a burned cincture belonging to the Brotherhood of Jesus on the Way to Calvary. Remains of images left after the collapse of the Solano garage are also on display, along with relics such as the Holy Thorn and the Lignum Crucis. The staffs and banners of Zaragoza’s brotherhoods complete an exhibition that goes far beyond sculptures.
WHEN TO VISIT THE EXHIBITION
The exhibition can be visited until November 21 and is included in the admission ticket to La Seo, although residents of Aragon will be able to enter free of charge on the four days each month when the cathedral offers free admission.
The exhibition is part of the 13th National Gathering of Young Members of Holy Week Brotherhoods and Confraternities (JOHC 2026), which begins this Friday in Zaragoza and continues until Sunday. The official opening will take place today at 9 p.m. in Plaza del Pilar, with a performance of jotas and a short staging of the Rosary of Glass. One of the main events will take place on Saturday, with an extraordinary procession featuring 23 floats and Holy Week images from Zaragoza through the city center. The gathering will conclude on Sunday after a weekend of activities and fellowship among young members of brotherhoods from across Spain.
