The mystery typical of major announcements surrounds everything related to this new auditorium and, for now, those responsible have only revealed that it "will focus on immersion and sensations." "We want a film to stop being something you only see and hear and become something you feel," they explain.
Although everything remains secret, the description is reminiscent of some of the immersive formats already operating in other Spanish cinemas. One of the best known is 4DX, which features moving seats as well as effects synchronized with the film, such as wind, water, fog and even smells. Another possibility within experiential cinema is ScreenX, a technology capable of generating panoramic images of up to 270 degrees, or D-BOX, in which the seats themselves reproduce movements and vibrations coordinated with the film's action.
Whatever the possibilities, what is certain is that Aragonia cinemas will be adding this new auditorium. Although, strictly speaking, it will be Auditorium 9 that is transformed to accommodate this "exclusive experience." The transformation is expected to begin on October 1.
"The cinema will be expanded beyond traditional screenings, bringing it closer to families, young people and new audiences. The auditorium will offer an experience that cannot be recreated outside a cinema," they explain.
