That municipality is Benasque, in the province of Huesca, where average net income reaches 18,540 euros per person annually. The Pyrenean town thus tops the regional ranking and has also improved compared with the previous year, when the figure stood at 17,664 euros. In just one year, average income increased by 876 euros.
Behind it are two municipalities in the province of Zaragoza. Villanueva de Gállego ranks second, with average net income of 17,558 euros per person, while Cuarte de Huerva is third, with 17,476 euros. Both therefore rank among the Aragonese areas with the highest average incomes per resident.
ZARAGOZA AND ITS SURROUNDINGS AMONG THE HIGHEST INCOMES

The area surrounding the Aragonese capital has a notable presence among the municipalities with the highest incomes. In addition to Villanueva de Gállego, Cuarte and Villamayor, Cadrete records average net income of 16,741 euros per person, reinforcing the importance of several towns near Zaragoza in the upper part of Aragon's income map.
SEVERAL MUNICIPALITIES IN HUESCA RANK AMONG THE HIGHEST
The province of Huesca also includes several towns with the highest average incomes. In addition to Benasque, Sabiñánigo records average net income of 16,625 euros per person, while Jaca reports 16,524 euros. Both towns therefore remain among the Aragonese municipalities with the strongest income figures.
Huesca city has average net income of 16,373 euros per person annually, a figure that also keeps it near the top of the ranking. As a result, the municipalities with the highest incomes include both towns in the Pyrenees of Huesca and several municipalities around Zaragoza, as well as two of Aragon's three provincial capitals.

Data for 2024 also show increases compared with the previous year in several municipalities occupying the top positions. In Benasque, income rose from 17,664 to 18,540 euros per person, while Villanueva de Gállego increased from 15,912 to 17,558 euros, or 1,646 euros more in one year.

The indicator used by the INE measures average net income per person and should not be confused with average salary. It includes various household income sources, including wages, pensions and benefits. To compile this ranking, only Aragonese municipalities with more than 2,000 residents were compared.
