The ceremony also included the festivities’ opening address, delivered this year by Club Patín Esneca Fraga, which used its speech to highlight effort, teamwork and the pride of belonging to the city. Its president, Albert Piñol, acknowledged at the start that “being up here is more daunting than a European final.”

Fraga Mayor Ignacio Gramún congratulated the new festival representatives and thanked the club for its track record and sporting achievements, which have carried the city’s name beyond the municipality. He also highlighted the cooperation between the Town Hall and Peña Fragatina as one of the keys to organizing both the festivities and various municipal projects.

Festival Councillor Mapi Aquilué emphasized the months of preparation behind the program and the joint work of technicians, organizations, Peña Fragatina and the festival committee. She said the Town Hall remains committed to trying to improve with each edition.

On behalf of Peña Fragatina, its co-president Pau Enrech thanked organizations, partners and volunteers for their involvement and expressed the hope of once again seeing “Fraga dressed in white and orange, filled with music and reunions” during the coming festival days.

The gala ended with a performance by the Rondalla de Peña Fragatina, which provided the musical finale to an afternoon that officially opened the Festive Prelude and built anticipation for the Pilar Festivities, now entering their countdown.
