The two police officers have already joined the regular shifts and will take part in citizen safety, traffic control, prevention and direct assistance to residents. Their arrival will strengthen the force and expand its day-to-day operational capacity.

Fraga Mayor, Ignacio Gramún, also announced that the Town Hall is considering launching a plainclothes police service, subject to prior notification to the Government Subdelegation in Huesca. He explained that the aim is to improve prevention and more effectively monitor compliance with municipal coexistence ordinances.

The Town Hall is also preparing an extraordinary plenary session during October to amend the Local Police regulations. The change is intended to allow officers to carry Tasers and expandable batons before the end of the year.
