Regional Minister for the Economy, Competitiveness and Employment Eva Valle took part in the tour alongside Huesca Mayor Lorena Orduna and Walqa Managing Director Carlos Ortas. The delegation, which arrived in Aragon last Sunday, October 4, and is leaving the region today, Tuesday, after a three-day visit, also toured the Aragon Gastronomic Innovation Center, located within the park, and the facilities of Podoactiva.
GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT CONFIRMED BY OFFICIALS
Valle highlighted that the visit had enabled European representatives to see firsthand the economic transformation underway in Aragon. She said the ambassadors “were able to witness the momentum of Aragon's economy and the ecosystem created by the arrival of data centers.”
Walqa's growth is also reflected in its figures. The technology park has gone from hosting 51 companies in 2022 to 90 today, while the number of workers has already surpassed 900. This represents a 66% increase in the number of companies in just four years, consolidating the Huesca-based park as one of Aragon's leading business and technology hubs.
