Zaragoza brings together the Toyota Mirai and Hilux FCEV to showcase hydrogen mobility

Aragon has once again become a showcase for new forms of hydrogen-based mobility. The Zoilo Ríos El Cisne service station in Zaragoza hosted an event where the Toyota Mirai and Toyota Hilux FCEV prototype could be seen and tested, demonstrating in practical terms how this fuel can be used in transport.

The event brought together companies, institutions and energy sector representatives around a shared message: Aragon has favorable conditions for advancing the production and distribution of renewable hydrogen. Luis Biendicho, the Aragon Government's councillor for the Environment and Tourism, highlighted the importance of renewable energy, the region's industrial presence and its extensive territory as factors that could facilitate this development, while also pointing to the need to continue expanding refueling infrastructure.

HYDROGEN PRODUCED IN ARAGON TO POWER A VEHICLE

One of the event's most representative demonstrations was led by ARPA. The Aragonese company took part in the dynamic demonstrations with its own Toyota Mirai, which had been refueled with hydrogen previously generated at its facilities. In this way, fuel production and its use on the road were connected in a single experience.

ARPA is also behind the hydrogen refueling station installed at El Cisne, which was designed and manufactured to supply hydrogen to vehicles at pressures of 350 and 700 bar. The facility can serve different types of mobility and draws on the company's experience in processes such as hydrogen generation, compression, storage and dispensing.

VEHICLES, ENERGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE IN ONE PLACE

The event brought together in one location some of the elements needed for hydrogen mobility to develop: vehicles capable of using it, facilities for producing it and systems for refueling them. The Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, CaetanoBus and Zaragoza City Council also took part, along with other institutional and business representatives connected to the sector.
