Aragon Receives Nearly €2 Million in Aid to Renew Tractors and Farm Machinery

Aragon ranks among the regions receiving the most aid from the 2026 Agricultural Machinery Renove Plan, with €1,978,257 allocated to renew 350 units. The region thus ranks second in the number of subsidized machines, behind only Castilla y León, according to provisional data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

The program aims to help farmers and livestock breeders replace or acquire more modern, efficient and safer machinery. Across Spain, the aid is mainly directed toward direct-seeding drills, other types of agricultural machinery and equipment linked to precision farming, three areas that have accounted for most of the budget in this funding round.

ARAGON IS THE SECOND REGION WITH THE MOST SUBSIDIZED MACHINERY

The 350 units funded in Aragon place the region well ahead of Castilla-La Mancha, with 130, Cataluña, with 105, Extremadura, with 103, and Andalusia, with 95. Castilla y León accounts for the largest share of the aid, with 1,048 machines and nearly €4.92 million.

NEARLY €9.5 MILLION IN AID ACROSS SPAIN

Across the country, 1,966 farmers and livestock breeders will benefit from the nearly €9.5 million available under the Renove Plan. The Ministry received 2,100 eligible applications after the deadline closed on September 15, although only 1,966 ultimately have funding. The investment mobilized by farms exceeds €42 million, meaning the aid covers approximately 22% of the spending.

The largest allocation goes to direct-seeding drills and other machinery. Together, these two categories subsidize 1,209 units with €7.91 million in aid. They include 302 plant-residue shredders, 298 equipment units for applying plant-protection products, 196 direct-seeding drills and 129 tractors.

PRECISION FARMING GAINS GROUND

The other major focus of the Renove Plan is precision farming. Funding for this category has grown by 55% compared with the previous call, while applications have increased by 87%. Autoguidance systems are once again the most in-demand equipment, with 706 units and more than €1.41 million in aid, along with variable-rate application systems, ISOBUS kits and, for the first time, a subsidized agricultural robot.
